New Hampshire's Provider Loan Repayment Program allows you to reduce your education-related debt by practicing in areas of the state where your skills are most needed and appreciated. You may opt to practice in federally-designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA) or in Medically-Underserved Areas (MUA) or Medically-Underserved Populations (MUP). Opportunities range from a large inner-city health center to small rural health agencies throughout New Hampshire.

The State of New Hampshire will help repay up to $20,000 per year for a two-year commitment for primary care physicians and up to $10,000 per year for a two-year commitment for ARNPs, CNMs and PAs for academic and medical school loans still outstanding at the time you enter into contract with the state.

The program is available to physicians who practice in the specialties of family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, and OB/GYN. The program is also available to Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, Certified Nurse Midwives, and Physician Assistants. Participants must be licensed to practice in New Hampshire.

Other restrictions: Licensed to practice in New Hampshire.
